A continuous debate ensues between atheists and theists. Due to the individual's inability to understand the totality of creation, this chasm continues to widen and it has turned in to a fad to say - I do not believe in GOD. While Shirdi Sai Baba said this while talking to V H Thakur about holy book “Vichara Sagaram”, the same holds true about Sri Sai Leelamrutam. On the occasion of Vijayadasami, the day Sri Sai Baba took Mahasamadhi, it is appropriate to think of this holy book.

At a time, when human values are being questioned, generations are searching for the meaning and purpose of life, this holy book appears as the only panacea.

Today, October 6th, 2011, is Vijayadasami - the day Baba attained Mahasamadhi. What needs to be remembered today in 1918 Baba did His 'seemolanghan' as predicted by a year before His Mahasamadhi.

Importance of "Sri Gurucharitra - the holy book"

Ours is a wonderful creation. It is still being explored and understood using science which is rapidly progressing. Yet we are encountering more questions than answers in every sense as we dig deeper. Across the world, if one observes closely, there is the only other way of understanding this vast and mysterious creation- the Occidental way i.e.,  the scriptures and teachings of Great Souls help us to understand thees most fundamental questions:

1)      Nature of Creation and human being

2)      Nature of the ETERNAL TRUTH which can be called in many ways, which I will refer to as ALL PERVADING or GOD.

The human being, endowed with a beautiful instrument called “Buddhi” or “power to think”, has time and again tried to use it to gain supremacy over all other beings, objects and the way this nature functions, but has failed miserably. There are many proofs which show that some supranatural force acts decisively, whenever this buddi deviates beyond a threshold causing destruction to the society.

Great to see this blog going on!! Master's birthday is at the end of this month, on October 30th. Amma's Birthday has just been celebrated on October 1st! What better month is there to start writing in this blog?

In my first post, I would love to share a few things.

Sai Master's encounter with Ma Anandmayi

In this auspicious Navarathri time, let us talk about one of the Greatest Saints of India - Sri Anandamayi amma - for she was widely prayed as living Kali. 

She is widely recognized as a personality of great spiritual eminence and exalted soul by many. Like another saint, Chivatam Amma, she was also simple in explaining and showing the right way. Here is an example (excerpt from anandamayi.org):

How can we get rid of the sense of 'me' and 'mine' ('amar' in Bengali)?

Ma: Delete this ‘a’ at the beginning; what remains is ‘mar’ (lit ‘belonging to Ma’, ‘of Ma’). Let< the five senses and the five organs of action do their work, but stay put on the Name; then, your ego will gradually diminish. When you feel that the recitation of the Name is going on spontaneously from within, the ego will decrease as well.

Today, in the world, there are numerous places of worship for Sri Sai Baba and they are only growing by leaps and bounds. From the temples in India, every nook and corner, to the far away places like USA, Mexico, Japan..everywhere you see the presence of the The Greatest Saint of the Saints, as was called by Sri Meher Baba. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, is today being followed by hundreds and thousands.

Sai Master, Pujya Acharya Sri Ekkirala Bharadawaja was lovingly called by his followers, got enlightenment in Shirdi, and from then, took up the task of compiling information about Shirdi Sai Baba. He was instrumental in introducing Sai Tatva to many and in particular to Andhra Pradesh.
