Today, there are innumerable devotees of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. There are many who believe in GOD. But none raised a question of this type, but came from a child. This shows how inquisitive they are, how observant they are, about what we do, what they see. They imbibe every bit of those. For them, the first heroes are their parents. But, as we parents why we never bother to teach them good things in life?
In today's world, we all talk about having a goal in life, having focus on that goal, and to pursue that goal. However, we never appear to be doing so, and hence kids get confused and start wondering about those fictitious things. While we want our kids to be one more Swami Vivekananda, Chatrapati Sivaji or in today's world, as Tendulkar's or Dhoni's. However, we all need to check whether we are providing enough support and creating a conducive environment. In every school today, they say they are making tomorrow's leaders. However, one needs to be a follower, sincere one at it, to become a good leader as they learn first to teach next. Are the schools providing this opportunity to the kids? Are the parents bothered?
Why do we treat kids as they are not ours. When the saying goes, they are the future, then why we do not put enough focus on them? What do they need to make the kids best citizens or cream of society? We need to think more about the path and tools for them than merely dreaming about their life and put them in various hardships..
Let us learn what to do from those who became beacons for the society in true sense. Swami Vivekananda, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, Swami Rama (in the book - Love and the family life), Sri Aurobindo, Ekkirala Krishnamacharya, or any such personalities who showed to the world by following those what they said.
Sri Sai Master and Divyajanani, in their way, taught the same. Gave as fine examples two such people to this world, in their kids. Let us follow the footsteps of such giants to do our bit.
Let these small steps be the giant leaps for the mankind!!
