Lifetime Teachings 2- BABA SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

In an ocean, as we search deep, we get pearls. However, in Sri Sai Leelamrutam, we just need to focus, with mind in proper place, to find many-a such thing, which are useful in our lives than any of those rare stones. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, all through HIS life, taught people the way of living, whether a house holder, a Sanyasi, or any other. For everyone, HE gave out the message loud and clear.

In the above, HE says, the root cause of anger or jealousy is the feeling of "I". Through a small example, HE showed how to think above normal materiliastic way by shunning the feeling. One day, a farmer comes to Baba and Baba says, "this guy is praying to protect his haystack, as it is burning. Everyone feels happy when they get something and feels sad when they lose something, forgetting the fact that everything belongs to GOD. He takes with one hand and gives with another. Nothing to worry".

Lifetime Teachings 1- BABA SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

All through HIS life, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba lived a simple life and an exemplary life. He taught the principles of living to the world less in words and more in HIS actions. As mentioned in Sri Sai Leelamrutam by Sri Sai Master, HE never indulged in using big words like mukthi, seva, moksham or sakthipatham etc.. as HE felt they would only increase the arrogance of "me knowing all" which is detrimental to the growth as human being.

What the above indicates is to focus on small issues in life like anger, talking ill of others, unforgiving others etc.. and correct ourselves. HE always asked everyone to become good human beings, full of unconditional love and caring for others. HE particularly disliked people talking ill of others, as HE felt that would only increase the hatred in the minds, thus spoiling the feeling of omnipresence of BABA.

Constantly contemplating on these simple words of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and checking our thoughts and actions to become better every day should be our goal.

Omnipresence of Guru

Jai Sai Master!

This is the essence of Guru tattava. If one can see and feel, everything teaches us something or other continuously and this was very well explained by Sri Sai Master! He started off his every speech by reciting this to remind one and all listening to him that to a learner, everything in this world acts as a teacher.

The whole world is created in a way to ensure the real seeker starts grasping things from every move and respects everything nature is giving with this thought. Those who understand or read Sri Sai Baba life history (Sri Sai Leelamrutam) can correlate well as to how Baba taught that HE is in everything and everywhere. The above sloka represents HIM in everysense and the more we contemplate, the more the seeker in us gets elated.

Questioning - An important aspect of life for a brighter TOMORROW

Jai Sai Master!

Questioning the status quo or full of questions...many of us would have used these words quite a few times in our lives. However, to what extent we pursued those questions or to what extent we answered those questions is what is more important.

Those who are with children often encountered questions which were seemingly difficult to answer. However, there are mothers like Kaikeyee in Ramayana, who brought a mirror to give a feel to Little Ramachandra that he had moon in his hand.

Questioning is the only one which makes one discover or innovate. Before Newton, many people noticed falling fruits. Only Newton questioned it and discovered the word "Gravity", which advanced our thinking by few notches.

Sai Master Aaradhana - April 12, 2012

Jai Sai Master!

A great day indeed!

April 12, 2012, the day, Sri Sai Master left HIS body and took samadhi. A day celebrated all over with all reverence, particularly with Ongole Sai Mandir swarming with people to pay obeisance at Samadhi all through the day.

At Hyderabad, the day was celebrated at Nagole, in Divyajanani Sri Alivelu Mangamma's presence with great fervour. The decorated dias, Bhajans by Gurukulam kids, messages from Sri Dwarakanath Jnaneswar (Sri Sai Master's son), declaration of Sai Leelamrutam Kritagnatarchana and reading out of the pamphlet by Smt Vedavathi (Sri Sai Master's daughter) and finally Divyajanani's Anugraha bhashanam.

In all, the message is loud and clear. What do we want from life? Are we really concerned about our kids?

These questions, when posed to ourselves with all sincerity, give us a scare unless we are protected by someone who can GUIDE us through. That GUIDE, who lives in this world, but above all worldly matters only can lead us to the right path and along with us, our kids. This is nothing new and infact, in Eastern philosophy, this is etched in golden letters. As many of us mired with worldly issues like earning, storing and saving etc.., we do not have much time to think beyond. On days like this, we are reminded again and again, to stop and look where we are going and why.

Everyone needs to search for the answer for these two questions - What do we need in life ? How worthful it is to bet on it and go for it?

An important question indeed, as we need to live our life to the fullest and hence, our decision has to be an informed one and never influenced one. So, let us answer these questions with all sincerity, before it is too late to search.

Sai Master Aaradhana day - April 12, 2012

Jai Sai Master!

Death is a natural phenomenon for every human being. However, there are few, who conquered that frontier, because they never associated with the body they came down to earth.

Lord Dattatreya, the eternal Guru to the mankind, comes down in various forms to help the seekers cross the ocean of ajnana or samsara. Sri Sai Master is one such form and like his Guru, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, did "seemollanghana" (crossing the last frontier called death) on April 12, 1989. Even today, HE is answering anyone who is praying to HIM and prays to HIM at HIS samadhi at Ongole.

Hence, this day every year becomes an important milestone for all seekers to check and move ahead with much force towards the goal of enlightenment under HIS guidance.

May we all pray to Sri Sai Master to bless us with strength and guide us to reach the goal.

SAI BABA - a spiritual and scientific magazine for this Century and times to come!

Jai Sai Master!

There are innumerable magazines in this world catering to millions about spirituality and scientific spirituality. However, rarely one finds a magazine or post, which purely caters to the above mentioned without bothering about commercial elements, which might take the focus out of the content and leave a sour note in the reader's mind. Sai Baba magazine, is one such which was started way back in 1983, and going on unhindered, month after month, doling out the best that satisfies the seeker of knowledge.
One of the cover pages of the magazine
In the current world, taking advantage of gullibility of people, many people claiming to be Gurus cropped up making spirituality a business. They even made spirituality a joke through their actions. While adulteration / faking is common in every field, it is common in spiritual world too. To protect the society and to promote the spiritual life in a clean form, out of sheer love and affection towards deteriorating conditions, Sri Sai Master started a magazine "Sai Baba" in the year 1983. From then onwards, Sri Sai Master doled out the best to the readers, and the real seekers of spiritual knowledge.

Through this, Sri Sai Master tried to introduce Mahathmas whom he visited and interacted closely, explain philosophy of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, explained the cryptic messages of Sri Sai Baba to enable reader understand the real purport of what HE said, explained the logic behind celebrating various festivals throughout the year, right-way of living, right education for kids and many such useful topics which will enrich the real seekers or the parents to help them bring-up their kids in the best environments.

Few more magazines which are posted on-line
From the year 2009 onwards, these magazines are being posted on the net, to enable readers to access on-line and read, and contemplate.

Spirituality as a backbone for every householder - Relevance of Sri Sai Master's path

We believe in thirtythree thousand crores of gods (with not much of impact on how we behave with all). The reason - we do not have faith in ourselves. (By Sri Swami Vivekananda)

This is the essence of what Swami Vivekananda said. Why we do not have faith in ourselves? Because we are living a confused life as we take most of the decisions based on emotions rather than with clear understanding. For one to take a decision and implement, clarity is required on what we are looking for. Take for example, a successful businessman (whom we follow as icons or inspiration in life). They take informed decisions based on analysis carried out with focus. Is it not the way we need to do, in every case leading a householder's life, taking informed decisions? With intelligence and knowledge, and with an eye on the intent of the activity always which is to help all.

Then what is the way in which we, the householders, live happily? For this, one needs to understand who is a householder and their responsibiilities. Householders are those who run the society, for they are the earners. However, if the earning is for a larger purpose, helping the cause of society, that householder always will be happy. If one thinks that whatever they are getting is a gracious gift, then they will be always happy. Every householder has to work for the society and should not limit it to his small family. To live like this in current world, only thing that can help us is "being spiritual". This is the only thread with which we are connected to the LORD who can help us in any situation, provided we have surrendered to HIM completely as a PROTECTOR. Sri Sai Leelamrutham provides many such instances to validate this statement.

Infact, the life of writer of Sri Sai Leelamrutham is a biggest validation for everyone,  for Sri Sai Master (Pujya Acharya Sri Ekkirala Bharadwaja) is a householder, but lived all the time helping the right cause and working for the betterment of society. In this current situation, which everyone has a reason to say we can be perfect, he showed how to be spiritual and be very very happy. At everystep, he believed in "ALLAH MALIK" to the core. As Sri Shirdi Sai Baba said, those who utter HIS name all the time, those who sing about HIS deeds all the time, become like HIM. How true it is in Sri Sai Master's case?

Today is a great day for every householder in this world. This day, Sri Sai Master found his GURU and got enlightenment. He gave us the path, the clear path, to walk on without fear for he has walked already..happily till the end reaching the goal in Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Why fear when he is there? What stops us in surrendering completely to him and follow-him?

Clear ourselves, have complete faith in ourselves, surrender completely to him and walk on the path blazed by him. ALLAH MALIK.

Jai Sai Master!!

Sprituality and Religion - understanding for betterment in life

Spirituality is the one which fills the human life with contentment, eternal happiness and peace!!

In today's world, spirituality has become synonymous with temple or mosque or church or some religious symbol. It has become synonymous with religion. This is what makes a person averse to the word spiritual or spirituality and discourage younger lot from talking or knowing more about it, unfortunately. Are they same or is spirituality different from religion?
