Jai Sai Master!

Today, there are innumerable devotees of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba all over the globe. Many people, irrespective of caste, creed or religion pay respects to this Emperor of Sadguru Fraternity  (as He was called by Sri Meher Baba) sitting peacefully in Dwarakamai. Many people in many countries had visions of Sri Sai Baba and today, many temples came up in Africa, America, Australia and in Europe. In India, there are many across many cities, towns and villages. 

He declared His omniprescence by saying "if anyone thinks that this 5 feet structure is Sai Baba, he does not know me at all". He declared many a time that He will answer from anywhere to the one who looks at Him. 

When someone posed Him a question as to how many people come to Him, He answered that "they do not come, but I call them." This shows there is a divine purpose behind what He is doing and even that He said He needs to account for every soul on this Universe. 

(Translation of the above: Once He Himself said "No one comes to me on their own. I call them in various ways". He said He came to protect His devotees. When one devotee was saying not to visit Sri Shirdi Sai Baba with materialistic desires, He said, "Do not say that. In the beginning, everyone comes to me with some  desire which is materialistic. However, once their desires are fulfilled, they gain stability and come on to the path of righteousness following me")

In the above, He talked about gaining stability once the desires are fulfilled. This does not mean that we live through our lives doing what we want and seeking every materialistic pleasure and go to Him before leaving this body. However, at that stage, though bodily the person is present, due to attachments on materialistic pleasures, no stability can be achieved. The real meaning of the above, as Sri Sai Master explained is - as you go closer to Sri Sai Baba due to fulfillment of desires, you are expected to know Him more and more closely. once you start knowing Him and reading about Him, you must start contemplating on Him and His deeds and what He is conveying through them. If that is not understood, then the proximity gained is of no use and one needs to go through the cycles of birth-death, till the point is understood and start using His proximity to cross the ocean of samsara. 

Many people interpret the above statement of Sri Sai Baba in their own way and justify their prayers for fulfillment of earthly desires. It is not easy to understand the deeper meaning of words spoken by such Sadguru. You need any Sadguru to unlock the same to start following it. Hence, Sri Sai Master explained the real meaning in his works on Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. There is no other works that can help us understand Sri Sai Baba better. 

May we read all those to know Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, to contemplate and follow His footsteps. May we pray to Sri Sai Master to bless us all to enable us to go through his vast collection of works on Sai tattva, to enable us become stable to cross the ocean of samsara.
