Jai Sai Master!
Jai Sai Master!!
"Have an open mind and be positive". We heard this many a time. What does this actually mean? Listen to what we like and that we feel is aligning with our views and leave the rest? Nay. We keep getting knowledge from all directions and every moment. If one has an open mind, irrespective of where, good point will be taken in and etched in our minds for ever and will try to implement the same, as that would help us in betterment as human being and in turn helps creating a better society. (How an individual's value system can impact a society? Read here)
The key here, however, we should know what is good or bad. For this, we need to look up at those, who lived their life as symbols of swadharma and who showed how to live through their lives. They are called Mahatmas. Those who are omnipotent, or can explain lucidly anything to any human being what they are supposed to do and how a particular thing need to be done. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, through HIS deeds showed how to live a holistic life. HIS teachings are very pertinent in today's world for every individual of the society where value systems are dwindling.
(HE said, "work, chant GOD's name, read holy scriptures or books. If you stop competition, stop quarreling, you will be protected. If you accept some work, do it thoroughly, otherwise, do not accept. Do not accept any help freely. Reward generously. This should be our way of living.
If any being comes to you, do not shoo it away, but respect it or help. Help the hungry souls by giving food, and clothes to the poor. This will make GOD happy. If anyone asks anything, give as much as possible or try help them get that. Do not ever say "No" or "I do not have". If you do not have anything to give, please say it gently. Do not belittle or get angry. If you have, but do not want to part with it or if you do not like to give, say politely the same. But do not lie that you do not have." - Free translation from Sri Sai Leelamrutam of Sri Sai Master)
If you observe the Mahatmas, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, or Sri Swami Vivekananda, Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi, Sri Akkalkot Maharaj, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba or Sri Sai Master, they all followed what is mentioned above. There were never any hungry souls who returned from such Mahatmas. Everyone got what they deserve at that point of time, and yet, their meeting helped those poor souls to come out of any difficulty.
It is very important that those who are working, particularly those who feel the world is competitive, and they are in rat race, must understand what it means to live right and why we should live right, and how a slight deviation can impact our lives, individually and collectively. For the same, there is no other way than listening to the Mahatmas, who are by far the biggest leaders whom we can come across, or change agents for any generation.
May those with sanity be protected and may they be given an opportunity to live their life as Mahatmas taught. May all be blessed by the Mahatmas to work towards a better society with fearlessness.
Jai Sai Master!!
