Jai Sai Master!
There are few holy scriptures that help us live in a proper way and help us stay stable inspite of ups and downs in life. One of such holy scriptures is Sri Sai Leelamrutam. The one that was penned by Pujya Acharya Sri Ekkirala Bharadwaja, the Sadguru, who followed in letter and spirit what HIS Guru told HIM and showed that one can live like that and be very happy throughout.
It is very difficult to imagine living a simple life, as the word simple, will have different definitions for everyone. In today's world one can see how youngsters change once they get in to earning mode. It is not about the external but more about internal. The attitude and outlook towards every other thing changes so drastically that it would be difficult to comprehend the force which changed the person...so suddenly.
(Excerpt from Sri Sai Leelamrutam)
As we read this holy book many times, our outlook must continuously change with the purpose and we must start living as humbly as God made us without getting influenced by the materials which keep changing every other minute. We must ensure our focus on the purpose of life is solid and must ensure none can pull us out of the path chosen.
May Sri Sai Master bless us all with a wonderful purpose and give strength to move on the path without getting succumbed to the "glitter" in life.

Today, there are innumerable places which are talked about. The Golden Temple near Kanchi, talk of gold plating to Tirupati shrine, offering of ornaments to the Lord, gold plating to Shirdi Sai Baba's temple etc... Whenever someone goes to Shirdi and comes back, instead of Sri Sai Baba becoming a point to discuss, the other issues become talking points. We tend to spend more time looking at them surprisingly and with a little bit of feeling either not being a part of the donors list or thinking about those costly donors (probably, my thoughts). We tend to completely forget that we went there to see the Greatest on earth, who is sitting there happily, who represents the ever so dynamic energy or consciousness of the universe. This shows how fickle-minded a human being is, how little things like wealth in any such form can pull us out of HIS spell so easily. When they say in scriptures it is difficult to escape maya in the world, all these incidents prove the same. Many a time, we fight infront of Lord in Tirumala for pushing us rather than just ignorning and concentrating on the Lord who is there in all splendour and glory that we can keep looking at for ever.
This is exactly what was mentioned by Sri Sai Master in Sri Sai Leelamrutam, while talking about the way Sri Shirdi Sai Baba lived. HE says, inspite of the place becoming a very holy place and many people started coming and donating many things, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba remained as HE was without getting attracted to any of these materialistic things, continued to live a simple life.
