Messaih arrives !!

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God."

On a day, when the Messaih's arrival is being celebrated across, let us ponder a bit on the verses of Sermon of the Mount, for they are the crux of HIS teachings.

Sri Sai Leelamrutham in Braille - A moment to cherish for SMBT!

Sri Sai Leelamrutham - Vol 1 (Braille version)
Sri Sai Leelamrutham is a daily parayana book used by many Sai devotees across globe.

Sri Sai Master, after attaining siddhi at Shirdi, penned this after more than 15 years of searching for various informations on Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. Today, this is being used widely across to know more about Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi. In an effort to reach out to blind people, Sri Manga Bhradwaja Trust has brought out this in Braille form. This was released during Datta Jayanti day, on December 10th, 2011 by Divyajanani Alivelu Mangamma in the divine presence of Lord Dattatreya, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and Sri Sai Master.

Datta Jayanti - A great day for humanity !

To understand the importance of Datta Jayanti, any human being need to understand the purpose of life and try to understand the creation. To understand the same, one needs to read scriptures and it is same in any religion.  The other easiest way is to follow a Guru. This is mentioned in every religion and followed by Lord Rama and Lord Krishna to show as a best example to the human kind.

In today's world (not to mention the times of Lord Krishna when Pondarika claimed himself to be an incarnation) where many "claim" to be Gurus, how can one identity the right Guru?

Colors of fire !

"Flames are the tongues of fire"

While trying to understand more and more on fire worshipping, I have come across an interesting piece of information and it is from the book " At The Eleventh Hour" - A biography of Swami Rama.

Once Swami Rama was talking Sombari Baba, asks about the colors of flame to understand why they change from time to time. To this query, Sombari Baba says they are tongues of fire and there are seven in all with different color with specific functions. Before starting the fire ritual, the fire with all those tongues was invoked. Depending on the intention of offering and characteristics of the offering, specific tongue comes forward to accept it.

Fire Worship - Dhuni Pooja Day 4

Standing before an eternal flame reciting a manthra is one way to contemplate the nature of God's creation and how to work in concert with HIS creation - an act of piety and worship.

Fire represents eternal energy of the Universe and worshipping the fire is one way of acknowledging the universal law that everythign is a form of that energy and it pervades the material and living creation though the various forms of energy. It is considered a transition between spiritual and material creations.

Dhuni Pooja at Sivapuri, Nagole

Fire has a special place in our religions. Praying fire, or doing a homam on all auspicious occassions is a part of our culture. There is a deeper meaning to this act.

Fire is a symbol of Guru. Every disciple who is away from the Guru, treats fire as Guru and feels the presence. This is same as what Sri Shirdi Sai Baba did. His Guru told him that he would be with Baba all the time. To reflect the same, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba performed Niratagnihotram or Dhuni in his place.

Mystic Mahatma of Undrajavaram !

He fits the role of Acharya. He is swimming against the "current" natural tide. He is a perfect Acharya!
Sri Sudheendra Babu
These were the words of Sri Sudheendra Babu about Pujya Acharya Sri Ekkirala Bharadwaja. A Mahatma, who lived for years (his age or about him are vividly known) at Undrajavaram near Tanuku, talked highly of Sri Sai Master. To understand the statement made about him are not easily understood by commoners as we use the word Acharya to any one who we think is a teacher. But the deeper meaning of Acharya, or the real meaning  or role of Acharya is beyond comprehension. (this is explained beautifully in the recent Sai Baba Magazine. Refer to Page 5 of Magazine. Those who need english translation, please send a note to blog author).

"Karthika Vanabhojanalu" with Divyajanani

On a day filled with fun, and at the same time to realise the importance of paying respects to Mother Nature, "Vanabhojanalu" was organised for Nagole Satsang Samiti.

The place selected was deer park in Vanasthalipuram, where the semi-forest setting is still being taken appropriate care of. At the dawn, few members went ahead for decorating the place and making it ready to receive Divyajanani, Babugaru, Smt Vedavati and Sri Srikanthgaru.

People started trickling in from 9 am in the morning and the area was slowly filled up with many. Ammgaru arrived at the place around 10 am and the day's official programs started off with Sai Satyavratam. This was performed by Sri Srikanthgaru and Smt Vedavati. The students of Ananta Bharadwaja Gurukulam acted as "priests" and read out Sainatha Pooja followed by Balala Sri Sai Leelamrutam.

After the pooja was performed, prasad was distributed.

Once everyone partook prasadam, various games were organised for kids and youngsters.

At around 6 pm, everyone gathered once again, where in few bhajans were sung which was followed by a Satsang to end the programs of the day.

At 6.30 pm in the evening, Divyajanani blessed all gathered before departing for Nagole.

Jai Sai Master!

Golden opportunity for the mankind on the horizon - Arise, awake and get going !!

GOD realization is possible for all. The householders need not renounce the world, but they should pray sincerely, practice discrimination between the Eternal and the temporal and remain unattached. GOD listens to sincere prayer. Intense longing (vyakulata) is the secret of success in spiritual life - Sri Ramakrishna.

Many opportunities present themselves for the human beings to look towards GOD and to work towards the most elusive self-realization. There are very few in this world who can grab those opportunities and try crossing the ocean of samsara. Sri Ramakrishna, Pujya Acharya Sai Master are few examples of such people who went through the phases of life and still stayed untouched by the good and bad of such lives.
