Gratitude - A wonderful word ! (Part 2)

"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)

Human beings are generally reactive. They never realise what they have till some thing hits them hard. Best example is - OWN BODY.

God has designed a wonderful machine which our scientists are working very hard to design and still not able to breathe life in to. This shows how primitive is current science when compared to the vast knowledge that is available in our ancient vedas. However, we do not realise the importance of each organ till that particular organ suffers. We not only fail to understand, but fail to educate children how lucky we are to possess all those in order. Today, we see many people suffering from various ailments. Particularly young people suffering from various body pains, sleeplessness etc.. What this tells us is - we can not buy everything in the world with the money that we are earning, particularly HEALTH.
We can get cure, but can never be healthy. Infact, the less we run behind the materialistic desires, the healthier we would be. Not that one needs to stop earning. But be conscious of the fact all the time, the higher GOAL in life which keeps you driving in life and motivates you and also....keeps you HEALTHY.

What is the use of repenting after the event has occured? Hence, we must stop being reactive and start looking ahead in life proactively, if we are intelligent. Teach the same to our children. We must also tell our children to be thankful, ever thankful, to the Omnipotent and Omnipresent, who endowed us with healthy body and express our gratitude at every step. For this body to function, our mind or thought has to work in tandem with the nature, and work smoothly to ensure the flow of energy in-and-out is proper, body is able to sustain with appropriate energy.

To ensure our mind is focused on good things, we must follow the best examples in the form of Mahatmas. They are the ones who can show us the path that we need to walk on, with examples from their life. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, who can give all to anyone lived like a simple man all through. Pujya Sai Master, who is prayed by many to fulfill their wishes, lived a very simple and exemplary lifestyle, even with a family. He showed how one can lead a simple, effective and healthy lifestyle by indulging in his Guru's thoughts. He showed all, how the thoughts can be set properly and systematically to help our external ways of handling self and situations around.

We must be thankful to all those who teach us good things, help us follow the right path. We have to know about them thoroughly and contemplate on them to understand better how to live. Once we get on to the path, we must walk with sincere gratitude towards the GOD, who took the form of Mahatmas on earth, to lead us to the path of moksha, the ultimate goal of every human being !!

JAI SAI MASTER!
