Colors of fire !

"Flames are the tongues of fire"

While trying to understand more and more on fire worshipping, I have come across an interesting piece of information and it is from the book " At The Eleventh Hour" - A biography of Swami Rama.

Once Swami Rama was talking Sombari Baba, asks about the colors of flame to understand why they change from time to time. To this query, Sombari Baba says they are tongues of fire and there are seven in all with different color with specific functions. Before starting the fire ritual, the fire with all those tongues was invoked. Depending on the intention of offering and characteristics of the offering, specific tongue comes forward to accept it.


An interesting piece for any one who wants observe closely in any fire ritual. Also, he explains that fire is the source of our thought, speech and action. The same fire which is inside us is also outside and it initiates and maintains the process of change in everything that exists in creation. One provides nourishment to the self soul by offering the love to God, who is beyond names and forms. But by offering the oblations to the fire, the manifest of God on Earth, which is one form of expressing love to the God, one provides nourishment to body, mind and sense. Hence it is very important to understand the ritual and carry it with all sincerity to reap rich benefits. Probably, this is the reason why Mahatmas had a dhuni in their presence.



The young members of Nagole Satsang, who are performing the Dhuni pooja, started by Babugaru, on the behalf of all Sai Master devotees seeking the blesssings of Divyajanani Alivelu Mangamma sahita Bhradwaja Maharaj, have done a tremendous act of every day pooja by starting on dot and completing the pooja with all piousness.

All the members of the satsang gather and chant the names of Sri Sai Baba and Sri Sai Master using Sai Natha pooja method. This was an exhilarating experience for all attending as a run up to Datta Jayanthi.
