Jai Sai Master!
On the eve of Sri Gurucharitra Kritagnatarchana, it would be prudent to understand why we need to do this. In many places, the Granth, the holy book is treated as the very Lord, who stays with us and in our home. In Sri Guru charitra, it is also mentioned that the Sri Guru resides in the form of this holy book and it is important to constantly remind ourselves of this fact while doing parayana.

[Translation broadly - Sri Gurucharitra is eternal form of Guru tattva. So, doing parayana of Sri Gurucharitra is thinking of Sri Guru always and doing dhyana. Dhyana means having continuous thought process on "I am the one". Hence, daily parayana is nothing but thinking about Lord and nothing else all through that phase. Contemplating on it helps us to realise the ultimate truth through experience. All through parayana our mind will be in the presence of Sri Guru and hence equivalent to Satsang. Sastras say, through Satsang, we get solititude, stability and Ultimate realisation. Being in Sri Guru's presence is the biggest benefit of the parayana and this has to be borne in mind all the while, when one is doing parayana]
It is clear that the keeping the holy book in our home is like having Sri Guru with us, who guides us through every minute through our life as we continuously contemplate on HIM. It is our duty to pay our respects to HIM for being our guiding force in various forms at various times.
On the eve of Sri Gurucharitra Kritagnatarchana, let us all prepare our minds to receive the blessings of that Ultimate Truth, the SADGURU, who is in the form of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba or Sri Sai Master or Divya Janani.
Let us seek their blessings to help our cause of finding a SADGURU in our lives to help us cross the ocean of Samsara and realise the ultimate.
