Lifetime Teachings 18 - SAI MASTER SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

It is quite common for everyone to idolize someone or some theory in life. Many consider that to be a very good motivating factor and also to benchmark against, to see how we are faring in our life. However, many a time, we fall woefully short of following the same. This could be either we have not understood the theory well or do not know the person well. In both the cases, we must dive deep to know more, as much as we can and start following with all sincerity, and with integrity.

In general, people talk about GOD and try to emulate them. But, we either grossly go wrong in understanding their deeds or use their names very inappropriately. This is quite common with Lord Krishna, whose name is associated with number of wives more than for HIS wonderful Bhagavadgita. This too very loosely without knowing the facts. Same is happening with Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi, to where lakhs flock to every week. However, how many care to follow what HE said or how HE lived? Sri Sai Master says in Sri Gurucharitra (telugu chapter 33), if one loves the GOD, then why they do not love what HE asked everyone to do or follow? Many a time in a day, this keeps hitting me again and again and for any such situation that reminds me of this line, a method or way of doing is given in Sri Sai Leelamrutam. However, when I start contemplating on such short comings, the doubt arises whether I sincerely love HIM or is it a superficial sham?

Lifetime Teachings 16 - SAI MASTER SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

One of the most difficult things to happen in life for anyone is finding a place where they will find the ultimate peace and happiness. As we are born and brought up in a world yearning for comforts, filled with machines and mechanical motions, with a set pattern of living, it is very difficult to see beyond even when searching for true happiness. First of all, knowing that there is something beyond itself is a chance that comes once in a million. Even then, realising that it is THAT we are searching, is a one in a billion chance. By the time the billionth chance comes, our present life would be over.

But then, is there a way out? Yes. Searching for someone who is a realised soul. Not by judging them, but by following a defined path, a path well etched in our traditions and mentioned in holy books, like Bhagavadgita or Sri Gurucharitra. Only a realised soul can help us realise THAT, if our yearning sustains and flows over the brim. It is also mentioned in those books that such a person would appear when we are ready to receive what HE can tell and follow the same. That means, that search must be our life purpose and even our acts in materialistic life should be a part of that whole preparation or Sadhana.
