Lifetime Teachings 5- BABA SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

Every being coming in to this world, yearns for the best form, a Human Being. That is the only form in which there is a chance of attaining mukthi or crossing the life of Samsara. However, that is possible only with the help of a person who has already attained that state, and who is called Guru.

Finding such Guru is the most difficult task in this world and even if one finds by chance, how do we make use of such person? This is the most important question for which Sri Shirdi Sai Baba gave a simple answer. While many people read Bhagavad Gita, Sri Sai Baba indicated that the sloka 4:34, which has the following meaning. He showed the disciple how to understand the sloka well and how to make use of Guru.

Lifetime Teachings 4- BABA SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

(Broad translation of the above statement - No Guru can say " worship me". Because, in the eyes of Janani, everything and everyone is a form of God or the Ultimate. How can they have disciples or followers? Hence, the One who calls or thinks of himself as Guru, is not fit to be a Guru said Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi)

At an age, when there are so many people who come and declare themselves as Gurus to attract crowd and to earn materialistic needs, the lives and words of Mahatmas become very valid and appear need of the hour to save the humanity. While there are defined or systematic process with which a human being has to purify himself (the behaviour, thoughts or deeds), to wait for the Guru to manifest himself in some form to guide, how ridiculous it is to think of someone as our Guru and follow blindly without bothering about working hard for such boon from the God?

Lifetime Teachings 3- BABA SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

Today, there are innumerable devotees of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba all over the globe. Many people, irrespective of caste, creed or religion pay respects to this Emperor of Sadguru Fraternity  (as He was called by Sri Meher Baba) sitting peacefully in Dwarakamai. Many people in many countries had visions of Sri Sai Baba and today, many temples came up in Africa, America, Australia and in Europe. In India, there are many across many cities, towns and villages.

He declared His omniprescence by saying "if anyone thinks that this 5 feet structure is Sai Baba, he does not know me at all". He declared many a time that He will answer from anywhere to the one who looks at Him.

When someone posed Him a question as to how many people come to Him, He answered that "they do not come, but I call them." This shows there is a divine purpose behind what He is doing and even that He said He needs to account for every soul on this Universe.

(Translation of the above: Once He Himself said "No one comes to me on their own. I call them in various ways". He said He came to protect His devotees. When one devotee was saying not to visit Sri Shirdi Sai Baba with materialistic desires, He said, "Do not say that. In the beginning, everyone comes to me with some  desire which is materialistic. However, once their desires are fulfilled, they gain stability and come on to the path of righteousness following me"

Lifetime Teachings 2- BABA SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

In an ocean, as we search deep, we get pearls. However, in Sri Sai Leelamrutam, we just need to focus, with mind in proper place, to find many-a such thing, which are useful in our lives than any of those rare stones. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, all through HIS life, taught people the way of living, whether a house holder, a Sanyasi, or any other. For everyone, HE gave out the message loud and clear.

In the above, HE says, the root cause of anger or jealousy is the feeling of "I". Through a small example, HE showed how to think above normal materiliastic way by shunning the feeling. One day, a farmer comes to Baba and Baba says, "this guy is praying to protect his haystack, as it is burning. Everyone feels happy when they get something and feels sad when they lose something, forgetting the fact that everything belongs to GOD. He takes with one hand and gives with another. Nothing to worry".

Lifetime Teachings 1- BABA SAYS.....

Jai Sai Master!

All through HIS life, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba lived a simple life and an exemplary life. He taught the principles of living to the world less in words and more in HIS actions. As mentioned in Sri Sai Leelamrutam by Sri Sai Master, HE never indulged in using big words like mukthi, seva, moksham or sakthipatham etc.. as HE felt they would only increase the arrogance of "me knowing all" which is detrimental to the growth as human being.

What the above indicates is to focus on small issues in life like anger, talking ill of others, unforgiving others etc.. and correct ourselves. HE always asked everyone to become good human beings, full of unconditional love and caring for others. HE particularly disliked people talking ill of others, as HE felt that would only increase the hatred in the minds, thus spoiling the feeling of omnipresence of BABA.

Constantly contemplating on these simple words of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba and checking our thoughts and actions to become better every day should be our goal.

Omnipresence of Guru

Jai Sai Master!

This is the essence of Guru tattava. If one can see and feel, everything teaches us something or other continuously and this was very well explained by Sri Sai Master! He started off his every speech by reciting this to remind one and all listening to him that to a learner, everything in this world acts as a teacher.

The whole world is created in a way to ensure the real seeker starts grasping things from every move and respects everything nature is giving with this thought. Those who understand or read Sri Sai Baba life history (Sri Sai Leelamrutam) can correlate well as to how Baba taught that HE is in everything and everywhere. The above sloka represents HIM in everysense and the more we contemplate, the more the seeker in us gets elated.

Questioning - An important aspect of life for a brighter TOMORROW

Jai Sai Master!

Questioning the status quo or full of questions...many of us would have used these words quite a few times in our lives. However, to what extent we pursued those questions or to what extent we answered those questions is what is more important.

Those who are with children often encountered questions which were seemingly difficult to answer. However, there are mothers like Kaikeyee in Ramayana, who brought a mirror to give a feel to Little Ramachandra that he had moon in his hand.

Questioning is the only one which makes one discover or innovate. Before Newton, many people noticed falling fruits. Only Newton questioned it and discovered the word "Gravity", which advanced our thinking by few notches.

Sai Master Aaradhana - April 12, 2012

Jai Sai Master!

A great day indeed!

April 12, 2012, the day, Sri Sai Master left HIS body and took samadhi. A day celebrated all over with all reverence, particularly with Ongole Sai Mandir swarming with people to pay obeisance at Samadhi all through the day.

At Hyderabad, the day was celebrated at Nagole, in Divyajanani Sri Alivelu Mangamma's presence with great fervour. The decorated dias, Bhajans by Gurukulam kids, messages from Sri Dwarakanath Jnaneswar (Sri Sai Master's son), declaration of Sai Leelamrutam Kritagnatarchana and reading out of the pamphlet by Smt Vedavathi (Sri Sai Master's daughter) and finally Divyajanani's Anugraha bhashanam.

In all, the message is loud and clear. What do we want from life? Are we really concerned about our kids?

These questions, when posed to ourselves with all sincerity, give us a scare unless we are protected by someone who can GUIDE us through. That GUIDE, who lives in this world, but above all worldly matters only can lead us to the right path and along with us, our kids. This is nothing new and infact, in Eastern philosophy, this is etched in golden letters. As many of us mired with worldly issues like earning, storing and saving etc.., we do not have much time to think beyond. On days like this, we are reminded again and again, to stop and look where we are going and why.

Everyone needs to search for the answer for these two questions - What do we need in life ? How worthful it is to bet on it and go for it?

An important question indeed, as we need to live our life to the fullest and hence, our decision has to be an informed one and never influenced one. So, let us answer these questions with all sincerity, before it is too late to search.

Sai Master Aaradhana day - April 12, 2012

Jai Sai Master!

Death is a natural phenomenon for every human being. However, there are few, who conquered that frontier, because they never associated with the body they came down to earth.

Lord Dattatreya, the eternal Guru to the mankind, comes down in various forms to help the seekers cross the ocean of ajnana or samsara. Sri Sai Master is one such form and like his Guru, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, did "seemollanghana" (crossing the last frontier called death) on April 12, 1989. Even today, HE is answering anyone who is praying to HIM and prays to HIM at HIS samadhi at Ongole.

Hence, this day every year becomes an important milestone for all seekers to check and move ahead with much force towards the goal of enlightenment under HIS guidance.

May we all pray to Sri Sai Master to bless us with strength and guide us to reach the goal.

Jai Sai Master!
